Hi and sorry to anyone reading this that this blog has not posted for weeks and months. We have done so much that we don’t have time for blogging. But even though we are taking a sabbatical now, it doesn’t mean that this blog is dead forever. Keep checking our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for more updates, illustrations and comic strips. Here are many pictures that will speak for themselves hopefully. Happy Summer, stay phresh and wear deodorant!

Hello and happy Sunday everyone. At Angry Duck Shop’s Headquarters, we are super busy preparing for the journey to Pictoplasma and Berlin. The huge duck needs to be ready before travelling through Europe! Here are some WIP pics:

It is important to point out that help from Norway was brought in for this, and it could not have happened without them!

Keep cheking our blog for development on this and eventually also the journey from Edinburgh to London, to France then Berlin through Belgium and Luxembourg.

Have one jolly week all of you!

Hello! This blog has been quiet because of personal circumstances. On Saturday, Valentine’s Day, I went to Jim Stirk’s animation studio, Animation Jam, and were taught animation for a full day. It was a day full of Flash magic and a moving Angry Duck saw the break of dawn and it was very special and moving. Animator Jim is such a fantastic and skilled animator, and also an amazing teacher, so if anyone wants to learn any form of animation, he teaches workshops for people of all ages and I could not recommend him more. He has years of experience and is super friendly and super talented. Please check out his website for his cool work for big clients, e.g. BBC.

Here is the first one that Jim did, it is very rough but oh so funny.

Then I tried the same. Short and maybe not so sweet but hey.

Then Jim did this one. It is a masterpiece:

Then Jim showed me how to import the puppet and I made this stomping film:

Expect beautiful things in 15 years, once I have practised my face off doing Flash, when the Pictoplasma malarky is over. Some sound will also be fantastic one day.

Have a happy rest of February!

Hi there. Today we went a really long walk in the Winter sun, check out our photos on Instagram @argaankanofficial ! More importantly we wanted to share our new video ad with you. You can view it here:

Thank you to the talented actors who helped make this beauty of a film a possibility. Get the card here and enjoy this week and February itself 😀

Happy Sunday, you made it though the first working week of January! I am are busy preparing Angry Duck for the Pictoplasma conference in Berlin in April-May this year. Yesterday it was announced that character designer and storyboarder on Adventure Time, Andy Ristaino will be a speaker at the conference !!!!!1 I hope to shake his hand and will of course never wash it afterwards. There will also be many other equally fantastic speakers there, everyone should go seriously.

The Angry Duck foam sculpture (Benjamin van Oost taught me how to do this at Pictoplasma Academy last year, he is fantastic and everyone should check out Studio BamBam) is still growing legs and other things this weekend, here are some work in progress pics:

It says that the putty might take 21-28 days to dry, this sounds like BS to me but he who lives will be able to tell. Once the putty is dry, I will coat in resin and repeat till it goes rock hard, then locate a friendly car painter and hope for the best. Then create another, larger duck and take it to Berlin with me to meet all the celebs and fantastic people there.

Have a beautiful week everyone! 😀

Happy Holidays! Angry Duck is in the snow, just look!

There will be some other crackers with this yellow fellow in the winter wonderland that is Levanger, Norway coming soon.

Lucky Pi (3.14) is here to give me a wash:

Hello! Hope everyone is having a happy Sunday.

We have been prepping stuff for our two Christmas craft markets that you seriously should go to if you live in or around Edinburgh! Please.

One is in Morningside on Sat the 29th of Nov, this is the poster although the date is 29TH OF NOVEMBER and not these silly old dates:

Then there is the one on the 6th of Dec in Leith, info here:
Out of the Blue Drill Hall Christmas Market

We got new Christmas cards and are also awaiting a sneaky little Angry Duck treat that starts with M and ends with AGNET and we surely hope they will look nice because we have no idea.

Today we went a walk with Angry Duck, he wanted to go and look at some ducks that weren’t angry, just for a change:
Angry Duck and ducks

Then he played some chess, all by himself. It is ok to be alone if you want to!

Also continuing to draw for the character bible, maybe it will be finished before 2015, that would be like Christmas, Norway day, Pentecost and Easter at once.

Have a ploppily lovely week everyone! Be happy and nice to others, and if you’re not happy, go do something else that makes you happy please.

KA, David & Katt Monsen xx
