Hi and sorry to anyone reading this that this blog has not posted for weeks and months. We have done so much that we don’t have time for blogging. But even though we are taking a sabbatical now, it doesn’t mean that this blog is dead forever. Keep checking our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for more updates, illustrations and comic strips. Here are many pictures that will speak for themselves hopefully. Happy Summer, stay phresh and wear deodorant!

This week Angry Duck has gone global at Pictoplasma Academy exhibition in Berlin. Giant AD found himself a toilet in Berlin and looks pretty delighted to have the funniest paper in the world, The Daily Butter. Karen Anna is in Berlin and making a name for herself with her work and character design.

Anyone in the Berlin area please go visit at Gerichtstraße 35, and see lots of amazing work from around the world.

Next week little Angry Duck will be on his travels somewhere exciting we are sure.

Hello! Did you think we had forgotten about this blog, dear reader? Maybe you were right. No just kidding, we never would! We are just drowning. Angry Duck feels neglected, and with good right. Luckily we are soon going to experience another Easter, and Angry Duck will be 10 years old this Easter. Pretty spectacular! What will he do for his big anniversary?

Here is a wee update on what we are working on at the mo:

Firstly, there are these Converse. I hope to finish them soon. They will be sweet as, how appropriate to wear Angry Duck on my feet when he is so passionate about shoes. Pics:

I mean, I will feel like the best ever wearing these slutty puppies.

Secondly, the huge Angry Duck sculpture for Pictoplasma is very, very slowly moving forward. Almost so slowly that you can’t notice it moving. Like a newborn slug. The trip is booked though, so the duck’s apperance will need to happen soon. If anyone lives in Edinburgh and wants to be my free assistant, give me a shout. I shall pay with squinting eyes, snorts and beams.

Apart from that, we are steadily working towards Angry Duck’s world dominance, Easter and 10 years jubilee, plus the Pictoplasma Conference in Berlin of course.

Please do have yourselves a jolly week and forgive the sporadic blogging.

Hugs from KA, David & Katt Monsen xx

Hi. Here tonight with us is Angry Duck on a donkey. He is probably not a gentle rider, Angry Duck. Poor donkey. This duck was born in 2007 and has been riding ever since.

For those of you thinking that the blog is pretty quiet these days, you are right. Lots to do with sculptures here and there and planning the big Pictoplasma exhibition and all that. We will come back stronger after May! Have a beautiful week, each and every one of you. Apart from you belittling and patronising people, we wish you an average week at the best. You are not better than others. Cheerio!

Happy Sunday, you made it though the first working week of January! I am are busy preparing Angry Duck for the Pictoplasma conference in Berlin in April-May this year. Yesterday it was announced that character designer and storyboarder on Adventure Time, Andy Ristaino will be a speaker at the conference !!!!!1 I hope to shake his hand and will of course never wash it afterwards. There will also be many other equally fantastic speakers there, everyone should go seriously.

The Angry Duck foam sculpture (Benjamin van Oost taught me how to do this at Pictoplasma Academy last year, he is fantastic and everyone should check out Studio BamBam) is still growing legs and other things this weekend, here are some work in progress pics:

It says that the putty might take 21-28 days to dry, this sounds like BS to me but he who lives will be able to tell. Once the putty is dry, I will coat in resin and repeat till it goes rock hard, then locate a friendly car painter and hope for the best. Then create another, larger duck and take it to Berlin with me to meet all the celebs and fantastic people there.

Have a beautiful week everyone! 😀

Dear Blog. Yesterday’s blogpost comes here. Yesterday was a bit of a challenge, due to some cocktails from 52 Canoes, but it was totally worth it.

Today we went to Halford’s and B & Q to buy stuff to fix the relatively large Angry Duck sculpture. Really hope it is the right stuff, because these people were busy and didn’t have time to look at my photos of the German products used in Berlin. I’m sure it will be fine. We got the putty in B & Q and that was the only polyester putty they had, so I am more concerned about that, but I guess I don’t need much. This is some of the stuff we got:
David's Epoxy ResinThinking that the fact that it’s called David’s Resin must be reassuring. Or?

(check out our not so hidden advertising, Australian cooking show style).

The only thing we couldn’t get was insulation foam, the only sheets they had in B & Q were super expensive and huge, we just wanted a lil’ leg of it. We must try Homebase one day.

This is Katt Monsen and the foam Angry Duck:

Then we put some Barbapapa fairy lights up because it is so dark outside, although this photo was taken a bit earlier because we had to test that they worked. They are delightful.

Angry Duck is now higher up on a table so Katt Monsen can’t break him in any way. He is eagerly awaiting the day he will be finished, and so is the rest of the household!
Messy tableApologies for the messy table but this is how it is when you don’t have a desk to work on. Maybe one day, but who knows anything, really.

Have a delightful and productive week dear people!

KA, David & Katt Monsen xx

With Karen Anna being away the blog has been inconsistent, sorry about that! Angry Duck was missing his maker, and he was made to feel small when he saw the latest model that Karen Anna had been making in Berlin. Poor AD could only look on his Ipad at pictures and wonder if he will still be loved on her return.

Angry Duck took a trip to drop Karen Anna off at the airport today. She is off to Pictoplasma Academy in Berlin to make AD famous and learn some new tricks. It was his first time at the airport, and although he didn’t get to see many planes it was still pretty exciting for him, despite the sadness of seeing KA leave for 12 days. Unfortunately however, the car did not receive a clean at the valet.

HELLOW here is our weekly blog. Yesterday we met someone else that has a weekly blog, and has had for 5 years, his videos are 15-20 mins so count yourselves lucky if you only watch this because you feel you should! We speak fast for you dear Angry Ducklings. Or David doesn’t speak that fast thankfully. KA got into Pictoplasma Academy and is over the moon because of this. Still haven’t celebrated properly, but oh we will. We might very possibly celebrate at 52 Canoes with cocktails so let us ken if anyone wants to join us, coming Saturday perhaps! ANYWAY here is our vid. Peace guys xx
